Description:
Personal Survival Techniques (PST), offered as a blended course, consists of an e-learning online theory module and an onsite practical training module. Practical training includes entering and operating a life raft, as well as the use of lifejackets and immersion suits.
By completing the theory portion online through an interactive web-based course, the amount of time spent at the course center is reduced. The online training must be completed before arriving onsite for an exam and practical exercises.
This course forms part of the mandatory Basic Safety Training for all seafaring personnel.
Prerequisites
Delegates must be over 18 years old. He or She must produce a valid Doctors note to confirm they are in good health to participate in the course. Alternative a valid seafarer`s Medical Certificate.
What to bring:
Document to identify the Delegate.
For the practical exercises it can be advised to bring swim gear and towel. Soft shoes to wear at the pool.
Order process
Send an email to coordinator@ask-safety.com including company information, the name and email address of each attendee, and the requested date range for completing the course.
Once the required information is received, the ASK-FL Coordinator will email available course dates and provide a payment link.
After payment is received in full, a confirmation email will be sent. This includes access to the e-learning module, which must be completed before arriving at ASK Safety in Cape Canaveral for the exam and practical exercises.
Arrive at the course center on the scheduled course date and on time for the exam and practical exercises.
