Competence and Readiness for Life at Sea
Personal Survival Techniques (PST) is a mandatory STCW course designed to equip seafarers with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to survive at sea in the event of an emergency.
This STCW-compliant training meets the requirements of STCW Code Table A-VI/1-1 and forms a mandatory part of Basic Safety Training (BST) for maritime personnel. Practical training includes the correct use of lifejackets and immersion suits, safe entry into the water, boarding and operating liferafts, and the deployment and use of survival equipment.
