Description

This course will provide the level of knowledge of Maritime Security required for those with designated security duties on board. The course covers the requirements of competence described in the STCW Code, Section A-VI/6, paragraph 6 to 9 and table A-VI/6-2.

Content
The course contains five chapters and a final test. Each chapter contains a "Content Overview" which will provide an overview of the objectives and learning outcomes set for each chapter. This way, you will be aware of your expected learning outcome throughout the course.

  2. Ship security assessment and plan
  3. Threat identification, recognition and response
  4. Ship security actions
  5. Plans, drills and reporting
  6. Final test

Target group
The course is mandatory for all seafarers with designated security duties and responsibilities according to the ship`s security plan.
